My family has just come back from Waddington in New York State
USA from the International Junior Carp Tournament which was great fun and there
were some fantastic fisherpeople there - have to say that because there were so
many girls fishing that we can't possible call all of them fishermen!! There
were 130 people in the competetion and lots of new teams - lots stayed for
their annual holidays and we went bowling with some of them I scored 145 and my
mum was struggling with 12 points - definitely not her night!! Thanks to
everyone who came to see us especially to Joe Babbitt and family, for their
hospitality, Kathy and John, Carla and Aerial Bryant for all her fishing
goodies that they gave me as an early birthday present.
A real BIG thank you to LORRY BARTON who was mega kind and gave
me a new Rod Hutchinson rod to replace one that was stolen from my garage last
year. She managed to source one on the Internet and had kept it for over a year
as I didn't manage to get to the competition last year. Isn't it nice to know
that there are so many nice and very generous people out there as well as all
the bad guys. I'm going to fish withe her next year to help say thank
you.
It's been a fairly quiet summer and I have jus been doing
normal things like getting my car serviced, going fishing, doing up my house
etc. The premiere in London is November 6 and New York is November 12 so maybe
I will see some of you there. Let's hope it's not raining in London so I get to
see some more of you than last time. It was all a big rush in London although I
did meet a lot of nice people in New York - it was so hot - does anyone
remember??
Thanks still for all the letters and presents that come in -
hope you eventually get a photo back from us. Am getting some new photos done
soon for you. The little girl on the new photos on the website is Katelin
Babbitt - 5 years old - who was really ill last year but she's a real fighter
and is back on the mend now.
